My Description of 21st Century Learning

My Description of 21st Century Learning
Requires education in the 21 teachers use different methods in Altdrejs to prepare students for life and work in a global society by using project-based learning
Project Learning is a systematic teaching and learning model that engages students in learning knowledge and skills from a series of complex tasks including: design and planning, problem solving, decision making, product and artifact creation, and the communication of results
Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an instructional methodology based on constructivism. PBL fosters deep learning experiences by allowing learners to follow an inquiry-based approach to connect with issues and questions that are rigorous, engaging, and relevant to their lives .
Integrating 21st Century Skills
  • Critical Thinking
And is intended to develop and apply new ideas and connect to others; and openness to new views and to respond to the diverse and Use more than one perspective to analyze the problem or issue and assessing results
  • Creativity
Produce or generate new ideas or concepts
  • Cross-Cultural Understanding
Dealing with the correct people and attitudes that result in a misunderstanding because of cultural differences
  • Communication
Explains ways to exchange information and ideas (a skill connect and explain ideas and information)
  • Self-Direction
And is intended to monitor the needs of personal understanding and learning, and to identify appropriate sources, and the transition from the field of learning to another( Invitaion )

Today's students need to be creative and innovative as it has become a competitive advantage over physical output.

The 21st Century Global Economy
The 21st Century Skills are the skills with which we can succeed in our practical life .As for 21st Century Learning , it's the learning which is student centered not teacher centered. The student is the one who should get knowledge and know how to use it.
The importance of the 21st Century Learning is that it prepares students who are better prepared in skills such as professionalism and work morals, communication, teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, application of information technology, and leadership. It builds the skills and knowledge needed to manage into the globally competitive work field, work in teams, be a lifelong learner and face challenges.
The 21st century learning requires teachers to teach in a different way in order to prepare students for life and work in the global community; a project learning approach.
Enabling Student Success
The students of the present century need to be equipped with better armours than their 21st century counterparts. Having only knowledge is not enough. They need to have interred personal skills so that they can work in a team and also develop leadership qualities. They need to speak and write well because good communication is the basic step to success. They need to have the practical ability to solve problems so that when they are given a challenge they can show their creativity .They also need to develop innovative ideas which will make them stand out in a competitive environment. They should also develop work ethics which will demonstrate that they have good self management and collaborate with others while working on a
Project. With thus armed, they can bridge the gap between only theoretical knowledge and applied knowledge. To be abreast with the developments of the global scenario, they also need to have complete knowledge of using technology for getting information and sharing that information with their team members and mentors.
In Think projects
 we can encourage students to work in a team
, such a work will develop collaborative
 skills and teach the students to think
and plan in advanced together,
also they will learn to divide the tasks among them
 and make them their own and first judges to their work and try hard to put their work in the right direction.
 Will teach students to learn how to answer questions by searching for answers themselves and also put questions for them selves in order to start solve the problem they are facing.
Each group will make it's best to come with new ideas, ones that no one think of it. Also working in a project will force them to learn some IT skills in order to get the final results in it's best
Project Learning Key Features
  • Essential Question
The purpose of this question is to put the student in the front of a problem and activate his brain to find an answer or solve this problem. It's better to relate the Essential Question with the daily life and the environment of the student because this may help connect the student with his environment and make him feel s/he can make a difference
  • Project Design
In this step we put standards in which we build activities upon these standards, make the student involved in trying to know what we know about the problem and the ways we can solve it.
  • Work Plan
Here we specify step by step and in order the steps we will take to do the project and who will do each step.
  • Project Management
We guide the student performance either directly or indirectly if needed and giving them encourage and feedback.
  • Culminating Products
Are the products in which the final result of the project will appear this could be a film using the movie maker, a power point presentation, search paper or a combination of all?
  • Assessment
Various assessment criteria related to the performance of the students in areas like content, presentation skills and higher order thinking skills should be developed. A special assessing criterion may be created for originality and research work in the form of survey & interviews.
  • Evaluation
At the end of the lesson, time should be scheduled to analyze, discuss and reflect on what they have learnt.
